Welcome to My Blog!

Welcome, I’m Mike Jones, author of The Overnight Student.

Learning is not about making A’s. Learning is about understanding and remembering. If you do that, the grades will take care of themselves. My goal is for you to have an increased confidence in your ability to learn. This will come from your use of this simple, powerful study technique which has had amazing results with me and virtually everyone who has used it.

I’ll be using this blog to interact with you concerning my book whether or not you’ve read it. You’re welcome to ask anything or make any comment. I’ll be returning here with responses to your questions and comments.

  1. Dr. Jones:

I’ve been a high school science teacher (Chemistry, Physics, Biology) for almost 30 years, almost entirely in the homeschooling community. Your book has been required reading for almost all of the 1000+ students I’ve taught over the years. I was introduced to it by Dr. Arthur Robinson when my children were using the Robinson Curriculum and he promoted it. I consider it essential reading for every student! It just so happens that our son now has his Physics degree, and our daughter is an EMT (and mother of four), so we can really identify with the situation you describe in your book. I just found your site today and am thrilled that you’re getting the word out! Keep up the great work!

  2. Dear, Mike Grandpa

I admire your work. However there is one painstaking reality. I am living in the nation of India, where your book costs a whopping 910 rupees, something which is far from affordable to me. I really needed to give this as a gift to my cousins and friends, so is there anyway i can get them. I wont ask you to give it to me for free, never, your book deserves more than 910 rupees, but please pardon me Mike. But i promise you, I will do my best to pay you back in the future (i dont know when).

    wiith love,
    Deon

  3. Deon, thanks for the kind words, but you don’t need the book. The video tells you all the basics you need to successfully use the method.

  4. Hey mike, Whats your thoughts on people saying your video is AI ? and whats the most important thing youve learnt in your entire life?
Sincerely, A F grade student wanting to become an A* student.

  5. One of the comments was from a person who was apparently an AI expert. He minutely analyzed the whole video and gave many reasons why it could not be AI. I copied his response, and I paste it into my reply to the people who are suspicious. I asked Grok how to tell, and Grok said to watch the fingers. AI is not too good at realistically depicting fingers and their movements.
The most important thing I’ve learned in life is that the most important thing is to love and be loved. And if you love someone who loves you back, that is the ultimate. You should start with Jesus. That makes all the other loving easier.
